As a program of a non-profit organization, the One Nation Powwow relies on the generosity of friends. From direct financial support to providing goods and services, there are many ways to make a tax-deductible contribution.

INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS are vital to the powwow’s success.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS allow a company to be linked to the identity of the One Nation Powwow ‘s venue and events. Certain contribution levels allow for a business logo printed on media releases, flyers, and advertising, as well as special recognition during the event.

FOUNDATIONS also supply invaluable assistance. By donating to the One Nation Powwow, there are many options to match a foundation’s objectives.

One Nation Walking Together, a local 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, hosts the Annual Colorado Springs Native American Powwow. One Nation strives to make a positive impact in the lives of Native Americans by providing food, clothing and furniture, and other necessary items to support the daily lives of Native Americans in an eight state area. Over 95 percent of funds collected by One Nation through their various programs and fundraisers are returned to the community in the form of goods and services. This is made possible by the vast number of individuals who volunteer their time to support One Nation’s programs, activities, and distribution functions. The annual One Nation powwow provides one source of funding to support this mission.

The goals of this annual family-oriented cultural event are to celebrate Native history, tradition, and culture and to dispel stereotypes about American Indians. For the Native Community, the event is a traditional social gathering where members of the community come together in “the old way” with Native drums, songs, and dance to meet old friends and make new ones. For non-Natives it is an opportunity to interact with local Native Americans and experience their culture and traditions firsthand. About 2,500 to 3,000 Natives and non-Natives of all ages attend annually.

The powwow staff consists solely of volunteers – there are no paid individuals. Expenses are minimal and all profit is used by One Nation to support its mission of providing assistance to the “poorest of the poor.”

No sponsorship or donation is too small. Each sponsor and donor, regardless of the level of sponsorship or size of donation will be recognized. As a guide, we offer several monetary sponsorship opportunities.
