Unmet basic needs contribute in part to the poverty and the shortest life expectancy in America. Many of the people we serve have the lowest per capita income ($4,500) in this country. Some of the most requested items are furniture, beds, appliances, pots and pans, hygiene items, towels and sheets. We have many volunteers who sort and package all the donations before they are shipped  to make sure we are only sending clean, serviceable, working items. By providing such donations, it allows the families to use what little monies they have for other needed items like milk, bread or other daily essentials.
